Over six years have passed since Toby Fox released the first chapter of his follow-up to Undertale, Deltarune. So far, only the first two chapters have been released — for free! However, this past Halloween, Fox himself gave us an update on the next two chapters: both are “100%” launching next year!
The illustrious game developer and music composer announced the update over on X/Twitter. After posting lovely commemorative art from Undertale and Deltarune artist Temmie, Toby followed up with this update:
I’m very eager to show you what we’ve made since 6 years ago. Chapter 3&4 will 100% come out in 2025. The specific time is still relying on localization and console porting. Please hear me clawing at the door trying to escape the shallow coffin I have been buried in.

While chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune are coming in 2025, that still leaves the fifth and final one up in the air. Let’s hope Toby takes his time and releases another classic RPG!
